Kinbane Head looking on towards Fairhead, Ballycastle

Kinbane Castle was built in 1547 and is approximately 5km north of Ballycastle and sits on a limestone headland. Adjacent to it stands an old salmon fisheries house, winch and bothy. The very steep descent is often closed due to landslides from the high cliffs of the North Antrim Coast.

Not much of the castle remains to this day.
