Glenevin Waterfall, Clonmany (IMG0788)

The spectacular Glenevin Waterfall is located between Straid and Crossconnel and close to Clonmany on the Inishowen Peninsula. A lovely 1km gentle hike takes the rambler up the meandering river and over a number of footbridges to the falls. The basin below the waterfall is called 'Pohl–an-eas', derives its meaning from the foam which lies on the surface of the pool. 'Pohl-an-eas' translates into English as the ‘ferment pool’.
