Great Stookan, Giants Causeway

The Great Stookan is a headland between Portnaboe and Port Ganny beside the Giants Causeway. On it is a free standing rock on the hillside. From a distance it looks like an old bent woman climbing the hill. The story goes that as he built the Causeway the Giant was constantly being nagged by his grandmother who knew how to do everything better than him and one day, when he had had enough, he turned her into the stone.
