Rough Island, often known otherwise as Island Hill, is at the northern end up Strangford Lough close to Comber and Newtownards. One of many small islands within the lough. It is linked to the western shore by a concrete causeway which is accessible apart from at high tide. A circular route takes you around the island and offers great views of Strangford Lough.
The lough is an excellent place to relax and watch the wildlife.
