The Peace Bridge was opened in June 2011. Its a 235m pedestrian and cycle footbridge over the River Foyle aimed at linking both sides of the divide and end the 'Troubles' which has affected this area over the many decades. The bridge is iconic now to the City with its sweeping 'S' shape and its ivory white support spires which often glisten in the sun
