Kallur Lighthouse, Kalsoy, Faroes Islands

The island of Kalsoy sits to the north of the Faroe Islands. A long mountainous island with many peaks over 700m in height. The western coast has dramatic steep cliffs for the full length of the coast whilst the eastern slopes protect the tiny settlements of Húsar, Mikladalur, Syðradalur and Trøllanes. Kallur lighthouse is at the most northerly point on the island. The views to the east, west and south are out of this world with cliffs rising hundreds of metres vertically out of the ocean below.
